I can see what I can do about posting some shots i'll be taking....I'll be working for a firm and those images are copyrighted, I just shoot the photos :)....we'll see and thank you. Also, I wish a big thank you to DPC and it was just one stone I have turned and I have learned a lot from this site and those who were commenting...a big graditute. My life just got very busy real quick and will be flying and driveing around to locations...I'm still in shock from this morning after I got the news. :)

Just curious: How did you get this job? I don't see any sports stuff in your portfolio or website (great stuff BTW)? Apply to an ad? Referral?

Ahh, It's not about any fame, I'm a little person too....:) However, the money is great!!!! Mind I say...but, I'm not it for any money or get any famous shots....it's all about the love and passion of playing with a camera...Now I just get paid to play with my camera.....or theirs I should say...great toys they have....It's puts my rebel to shame.... |

hmmm, interesting how I came across this job. I wasn't looking really for a job and I thought if I saw something today in the newspaper I might give it try....i just applied for a add in my newspaper and submitted a resume along with my link to my website. Yes I know I have no sport shots. That puzzled me too....However, after the interview, I have learned that it was the passion I have and earn to be better at this. They saw that! There were some shots I have that they liked and saw a broader spectrum of talents that I have and can add to what they are wanting....that's where some training that they are giving me so i can get the photos that they want. You can learn all you can in college and get a degree, but when it comes to it. A firm has a technique that they want and are going to use. They want photographers that are willing to learn their way and get some great shots. I'm willing to do just that! Learn more of what i have already collected, no more than some college book will give you. Plus, it doesn't hurt to be very positive about your work even if it's not what they want. But, to have compassion and have it in your heart. You can do just about anything you want if you put your mind to it. |

Thank you, I think you will find it interesting to shoot action photos. Even tho, I don't have mine on display, I have done some test shots for myself on action and people. It's fun, challengeing but fun...hope you do well and enjoy it. Best wishes. |

LOL, it will still be a hobby...I have to be creative too ( even tho, I get voteing down for it:) ) and I can't be technical all the time. However, I have learned that technical photos are great....I have learned that...of course, I think some folk don't get my abstract photo, some puzzling comments... Yet, I have entered a shot for rusted, because, well it was there. I thought it was just great a macro shot of rust and with great or good technical uses. Kinda mundane. (shrug) However, not doing well. a) it's a nonmember challenge b) there are nearly 500 entries...come on....a 4 point something is great!! It's how you see it, (abstract) some times we should think with our left side of our minds and much needed less of our right. Have fun out there...Here I can be creative and take the blows and have fun, out there, have fun taking another style of shooting photos and get paid for it...I have to keep them apart.... |

Sounds great. You definitely seem passionate about your "hobby". Your work is really excellent and don't be swayed by the voters here. It's not about the ribbons, anyway.
Best of luck, and I look forward to seeing some of your work.
