No need! You can become synonymous with silhouettes, much like IreneM is with water drops and roz is with bugs. Keep shooting silhouettes and win ribbons with them and you will go on to DPC IMMORTALITY:)

You can pay me later.

I am in no position to prophet anything about finishing higher on DPC... I have found that anyone who says patience is a virtue spiel is further ahead in the queue then you are and just wants to rub it in :-)

I am by no means in the top yet. I have a long way to go but I enjoy it. Yes it's frustrating when you put a photo in you think might do even "ok" and it turns out to be one of your lowest scores but there are so many factors. From meeting the theme to something small like an unwanted outline shadow cast by the object or even a tree branch people think takes away from the photo. Truth is I do care what others think but I care even more about just having fun. I relax when I'm out shooting photos. I am finding more and more that there's nothing more relaxing.

As long as you're enjoying yourself.

And if you're like me you can always use the excuse: "well I'm colorblind". Works all the time and it's no lie... at least not for me.
