Just curious - Does anybody know how many people enter a picture and then don't vote at all?
Actually the answer to this question would help me answer the poll, which reads
"Should voting and commenting on the Hidden Gem challenge be extended 1 week?"
If there is some presumption that there are people out there who usually vote and haven't yet, then it should be extended but if most people have already voted then what's the point? A lot of people worked really hard this past weekend to comment and vote and it might be annoying to now tell them they could have had another week to do it.
For myself, I voted. I would keep adding comments, but commenting can also be done after the results are posted - at least I know I continute where warranted.

I would suggest the law of averages is against you, however the scrubber may not be.
Picture this: at the end of voting you have had 20 or so 1,2 and 3 votes from snipers who didn't complete the required 20% voting. That would bump you up nicely, and I doubt the snipers have bothered to do a lot of voting because that would take commitment.......

Don't know if I ever had a favorite and a wish list before and though almost all the 44 comments are positive in the way of liking my photo, the score still keeps hanging in the middle and I know exactly why. Because I was so stupid not to enter the final version, but the version before and discovered it too late. But I'm glad someone wishes a print, at least that's what the wish list is about I think? It's been a few years since the last time I entered a contest on DPC. |

I'm holding my breath. I hit a 6.0040 for a brief period this morning before falling back to 5.9940. It's going to be the death of me, wondering if I'll break a 6 at turn-over, or fall further from that lofty goal.
