I don't think you would be on your own getting stung with a Leica-ised Fed or Zorki. Some of them really do look the part with great attention to detail by the counterfeiters.

Redscale film

I like this one! Kind of unusual result for redscale. Nevertheless, an apocalyptic, post industrial image that would make HG Wells proud.

Here's a few shot on Ilford HP5+ @ ISO200, didn't make much difference to the grain, perhaps a touch softer but not sure if I like it.

great stuff here kids....

Question: I have acquired new "old" toys and I'm not sure if it's worth paying to have a Duaflex fixed or if it's worth paying $38 for a roll of film (12) shots in an old 3A Autographic Kodak Special. Anyone here ever used either? (Finally have batteries for my 35mm cameras.)
Thoughts?

Well, a Duaflex can be had for $10-$25 on the auction site. Not sure it is worth repairing. What is wrong with it though? Maybe it's a do-it-yourself job? Takes 620 film. If you can get a hold of a couple of spools, you can respool 120 film on to those and you are good to go.
The 3A Special... Looks like it sold for over $100 back in the early 1900's! Whew! Getting film for that will be tough. Did you find a source?? $38.... Well, If you can get it, I would try a roll. But then how to develop? Not sure if that would fit on any of the developing reels still that are out there.

The top lens on the Duaflex has a big scratch. Wondering if that stuff that fixes scratches in glasses would work without distorting the lens...maybe a lost cause.
As for the 3A, there are a couple of methods of developing the film. One is a place that will develop it for you, the second is to do the developing yourself using coffee (found this online).
I'll see if I can get another Duaflex cheap, but this one is the very first model. :( ~ Thanks!
