Side challenge guidelines:
-Each image contain elements of de-saturation,
-Any editing you like (including textures, multiple images, etc.) - This is not a contest but about expression and exchange
-Submit at least 5 images between March 1st - 31st
-Photos to be taken starting 3/1.....or very close to it
-Try to comment on 5 entries, there is a lot that we can teach each other
-provide a short write up of image
-C&C is the method here. If you are commenting, be constructive and not personal. If you are the photographer, be able to accept a critique for what it is and not take it personally
-Have a lot of fun!

Just a reminder that it's in everyone's best interest for the photographer to do a write-up in the photograph's "Photographer's Comment" box in order to give us a better understanding of one or more of the following (or, all of the following if possible):

1. What you were going for in the shot

2. Why you chose the selective desat you chose

3. Issues/technicals/etc. that you notice yourself as the photographer and would rather not get comments/critique about

4. Issues/technicals/etc. that you wish you could have done better and would like more instruction on.

The OP wanted this to be focused more on critique and commenting, and by giving us, the people viewing your images, these notes, we can do a better and more efficient critique.

Thanks!

Image 1

Backlit orange and cranberry juice.

I wanted to do something with a lot of contrast with a warmer tone coming through. I know the lighting could be better but I really wanted to get something posted tonight.
cheers,

I took a personal day off today and used that time to go to a park, unfortunately, it was raining but me, my camera and an umbrella managed to get this shot which I thought would look really cool with just the blue highlighted.
