| I'm pleased. Fully expected based on shots I take that I think are winners and waking up the first morning history that I would have a 4.6667 this morning. Surprised to be above 5.5 at this moment. Maybe it will trend up, but congrats on those with the super high scores! |

This is a very interesting challenge. Most of the time, my initial reaction to a photo doesn't change much over time. Every once in awhile it changes or grows on me, but not that often.
However, I would have given many photos a much higher score if I had voted when I first looked at them. The first time I rifled though, there were a lot of WOWs. Now on the second time through, they don't stand out nearly as much. Maybe it's just that the bright colors are so much more eye catching the first time through...
(There are still a lot of really wonderful, creative pictures, just not as many as I first thought) |

despite the occassional 3s and 4s I have been doing well so far. Sux because a 3 or a 4 will bring me down a whole .1 at this time. :(

I'm impressed with quite a few of the entries in this challenge. Very creative and eye-pleasing images. Some are very clever and entertaining. Lots of inspiration from a dozen or so. Great job, people!

This is very exciting for me, however. This is fighting with my petscore, both of them are going up and down from 5.2 to 5.3. Just hope both of them will stay there. This was a hard challenge though, and I thought about not submit anything. |

Slightly concerned that this has bordered in some cases on an arts and crafts contest with amazing talent shown but just not photographic - although some have managed to fuse the two with a good composition/lighting and technique.
Good luck with it all people... i'm sat in top 20 i would imagine on a 5.95 at the moment - doubt it will ribbon, much to my disappointment considering how i was feeling about it before rollover. |

Even tho my score is a new high for me I do agree with you for my own picture. I am still learning some camera functions and where they work the best and I have a bit of OCD to. When I see a challenge I first research a few ideas for inspiration and then I feel almost driven to get in my entry as soon as it pops into my head what I want to do instead of taking more time to work it out. Then I work it and work it in editing to the point where I am not sure if I like it anymore or if it will pass the grade here. hahaahha. I change it and fix it and it goes on and on. Sometimes I dont have the lighting I need for the picture I want and have to hope my camera and the editing sofware will do some magic.
I have a few comments about my lighting to and I agree with them but then there are some comments that like it like it is to. I think it will always be a hit or miss either way so all I can do is hope when I enter that it will all work out. So far I am doing much better then I thought and that makes me proud and happy no matter what the comments are. I like the comments to but its hard when they are different from each other so that just means its really up to me and prayer when I enter I guess. :=)

| I'm still in the 7.xx range too, but scared to blink lest it starts to drop. Is it true that pushing UPDATE repeatedly will prevent plumetting scores? |

I'm not in the this challenge, and haven't voted yet, though a brief once over shows a lot of creative stuff. I think I'll enjoy voting and commenting on this one.
