Well then get your butt up here, it's tomorrow night, $40 Cdn all-day pass to Bluesfest. Promises to be a great show!

Donkey pix coming soon...patience, people! :-)

Ok here's pix of Maisie. First shot not too good, of her at approx 6 hrs old. She was born outside in the rain so she's a little disheveled :-)

Now Maisie at 8 days old, with her mum Willow and finally on her own, she is a very independent little girl Very difficult subject to capture cause baby animals hate holding still!

So do a couple of my grandkids! A couple of them like to cheese it up, but then there's the other ones!!

She is so cute!

As am I... I though I'd NEVER enter a flower photo, however, I'm forced to enter something as a result of committing myself to Formula DPC side challenge. Am interested in seeing how it fairs.

My From Above shot is still fairing quite well, however, not as well as it was doing before the weekend voters started hacking into it and dropped it ~0.15.

"wakes up daily developing pictures in the soft part of his brain"

It's nice to know I'm not alone. There should be some type of support group for this.

OMG last night was terrific...went to Bluesfest, met up with someone I haven't seen in about 27 years, hung out with him for a few hours, chatted, wandered around and saw a whole bunch of bands. Then joined some friends of his and saw Brian Setzer Orchestra. Amazing performance, tight band musically; Setzer still has it, great rockabilly, lots of fun to watch. Only kicker being I didn't take the Nikon, but as I was also lugging along other stuff like groundsheet and raingear cause it threatened to pour all night, would've just added to the weight. And probably would have shot out the card and battery before long anyway.

Heh, you'll never know what you did or didn't miss in the way of pictures, Sue, but cameras can distract from things like that, so assume you gained a whole lot more than you lost :)

That is so true - I didn't pay $40 to go play with my settings and constantly check my shots. I went there to hear Brian Setzer and a whole bunch of other great musicians, and I did :-)

Okay.....so I had a stone blast!!!!

I was thinking of entering this for Street in Color, but I shot it a day early.

This was a shot I got sneaking up on the roof.....

The local ruins.....

The place we stayed...the breezeway in front of all the condos....

These are all speed edits.....I am actually going to do it right and go through my images and put together a decent collection for once.

Lastly......some more fun that we had.....

Definitely a little nervous having my "New" D200 in the underground water caverns...

So what the heck is it with my kid that a .0000000000025 oz. stinkbug will send her screaming from the room, but she thinks a 25 pound iguana is the coolest thing since the folding paper napkin?????

Ding-Ding, round one completed, and I think âitâ won. Friday, the largest Uhaul loaded to the rafters, 5 minivan loads, 4 PU truck loads.
Saturday, replace roof mounted swamp cooler, rebuild a toilet, replace a door and frame, fix 3 others, hit the outside heavy with some serious bug spray, pruned trees off of roof, put more stuff away.
Today, Scrubbed rental top to bottom, few repairs, I want my $1,300 deposit back.
4:00pm Iâm worn out, but now Iâm a property owner (read bank) in Hurricane, Utah.
Round 2 the yard âstartsâ next weekend..

Congrats Alan.
Funny thing ... I was in Hurricane Utah once upon a time. I was on vacation and feeling poorly ... so we ended up traveling to Hurricane to see a physician. Funny thing is that while in Hurricane UT, the remains of Hurricane Jeanne (my name) had gone inland and was dumping lots of rain and havoc on our home. Pretty odd coincidence.
Congrats again Alan. May you enjoy your new responsibility.
