I'm currently taking applications for DPC friends.. I need to make some new buddies!
I've lost a few DPC friends (and off-site photography pals) over the last few years and I really relied on them to help me pick out a photo to submit for challenges, offer c/c, etc.. [[Of course we never vote on each others images, maybe a comment afterward. I am seriously not looking to cheat, or want to talk to anyone who wants to cheat.]] I want critique and comments and still have the ability to use those images for a challenge (cant do that if you ask for c/c in general forum). I loved the DPL and the fact that I could bounce idea's off people, I miss that terribly!! I would grade myself a C- in PS if  Roz were an A+.. So I kinda need someone who can offer PS tips, be accessible, and friendly. My kids are grown now, 18, and they are moving on and I finally have time to learn more... I'm interested in learning overlays, and in general more about PS.
I can bring the following to the table; complete honesty, I'll tell you if your image need improvement and give you reasons and advice, unbiased. I've been around here 5 years now, (I don't submit a lot, but I'm on site almost daily) I know how this place works, I know what gets good votes and what doesn't, so I can help there. I have decent PS skills, I'm a little weak on layering and the more advanced stuff, but general stuff like cloning, RAW work, etc, I'm pretty good at. I'm a homebody, so I am at the PC a lot, I have nocturnal habits (bad insomnia), and I have a PDA when I go out, so I can offer help even if I'm not at home :) I also don't want to toot my own horn, but I'm not an idiot, I won't be one of those duh people when you talk to them.. I love trivia and can hold intelligent conversation :) (this is beginning to sound like a personals ad and I do NOT want that, so I'll stop there lol)
In a perfect world I'd like to make a few friends with ribbons and mad ps skills, and a few up and comers I can help along their journey as a photographer. I'd like to use MSN to chat (mobile MSN also).

I noticed you are in NC...where are you?
I'm near Charlotte...
I'd offer to help, but I don't have mad ps skills - or a few ribbons either...but I"ll help in any way I can! :)

I'm relatively new here, live a million miles away and do not have a 7+ score . However, I enter at least 1 challenge every week and am a self confessed "All the gear an no idea photographer" Although I am learning fast with some great help from the comments here on DPC.
If you fancy trading your experience for my enthusiasm, it would be great to swap comments on photos before entry.
