Good luck to everyone attempting this! |
You can borrow mine, if you wanna fly out here :-) Though I guess it would be cheaper to buy a membership for yourself, LOL.
R. |
hehe. Well, my membership isn't up until August anyway. If I partook and won, I'd have donated it |
That's a good suggestion if anyone would like to participate but does not need a membership. You can donate it to anyone you choose.
Thanks for bringing this up
Scott |
Won't it just extend us? |
Yes, but the option to donate is always available to people, and is good to bring up for those that may be thinking, "Well, I have a membership that isn't due for awhile and don't need a free one" and may not have considered donation. It's just another choice. |
Coolio... |

My recommendation is that the DOF is focused horizontally along the plane of the graphic. Also, I would suggest changing the font for "Free Study." The font you used is very recognizable. |

Honestly, I think this would look much better without the text within the letters. It feels really "tacked on", plus the font is too common (Monotype Corsiva if I'm not mistaken). I really like the style of the FSM characters, I take it you hand drew those or are they also a font? But I do think that the gradient could definitely use some more work (the B&W isn't really doing it for me...) |

What is this for?
It would help to know what type of theme the logo should fit into. |

It is a "contest" for the monthly Free Studies on DPC. People signed up before January and now, based on their scores for each Free Study they enter over the year, they get ranked. Highest average wins.
Pretty basic. |

Yeah Baby! :)
Vote early, vote often... YES WE CAN. :)
In all seriousness though, there are a few things that bug me about it which I hope to tweak before the start of voting. |

I sure as heck hope I can find the time to put an entry in before the deadline ... I have a lot of house renos going on and a major idea blockage, but at least I am MUCH better in the health department ... so we will see if I have what it takes to dip my toe in the water ...

I like it. I kinda wish the film didn't just end abruptly at the bottom of the frame though... |

I've been trying to find time to put something together, but it looks like I won't be able to enter as I had initially hoped. There are some pretty good ones here so far, I look forward to the voting. |
