Will you be wearing a swimsuit in your portrait Doc?
Or maybe have a bucket of water under your 5d? I'll
warn you the 5d will take up much more room than the
little rangefinder in graphic funks image. :)

Matt

Edit to clarify, not that you reproduce it by copying it, but by printing it.

The printing would seem to be pretty much right in the middle of what 'fair use' is all about. You can reproduce images for teaching, research, educational purposes. Small numbers, not for profit, doesn't affect resale value of the original, not published, blah blah blah.

Haha. I'm pretty sure Dan isn't going to begrudge me printing a screenshot on an 8x10 piece of office paper to show a pose.

You'll also never find me as "one of those guys" because frankly I don't mind when my shots show up other places unless they are not a) being claimed as owned by someone else, b) being sold or c) altered to something I find distasteful.

....////

permission to study the photo ? permission to sell the photo ? permission to claim the photo as ones own ?

next time you post a photo that intrigues me - i'll be sure to ask permission before i look at it...

but seeing how the members of this site are always proactively trying to protect other members from stolen, printed, whatever photos I'm not sure how my comment is out of line, unless you feel its ok for him to do that because he's a member here? Doesn't make it right either way. Permission is the way to go.
