Only a baker's dozen in, and I've already lost the interest in the challenges every week. Can't say a single one has inspired me in any way.

I wish I could blame it on the challenges, but I can't. I simply just don't want to pick the camera up.

Is it the winter blahs already?

At least I have something for the December Free Study. About the only thing I want to enter lately.

Also, there had BETTER be a Best of 2008. I have something for that too.

Is that even possible?

unless you MUST continue creating photos to earn a living; then of course it is possible!
its really nothing to worry about. photography should be like a hobby. dont stress yourself over such things :)
(crayon is hoping nobody picks up their cameras anymore so he can hog a walk-over ribbon)

Get yourself into a side challenge - all the fun and none of the pressure :- )

Negative, Maverick, you've lost your nerve. You're out, Iceman and Cougar are in.

I was also going to recommend a side challenge. I can never keep up with a picture a day so I post when I can, but I really enjoy seeing the shots everyone else comes up with. Very enjoyable activity.

Something like this would throw me off track for at least a few days, if not longer...

... hang in there! Hug your family, enjoy the holidays, and capture some moments that you'll treasure years from now. Don't sweat the small stuff - in the grand scheme of things, challenges are a side note.

Doesn't help that today I got the word that the car isn't fixable, and none of the auto-wreckers I've called have any interest in buying it. So yah, challenges are pretty much the farthest from my mind right now.

Thanks for the kind words anyway.

Sometimes a small break is in order, but I would blame the winter blehs already, I mean I feel it.
