Do any of you have any experience with the Giottos LCB-1 Back ground stand? How well are they built? Would it hold a 10' x 20' muslin background easily?

The stands look beefy enough, but the cross bar looks a bit wanky.
Buy it and keep the receipt. Send it back if it doesn't work. Better yet, see if your local camera store can show you a sample.

| Lucky me, the small town I live in has no photo store at all. Yep, I have to either order everything online or wait until I go out of town. The worst part is, the closest city is 5 hours away from me! But I can always return it to the store that is in the link I provided, they have great customer service. |

I didn't even realize they made light stands & BG stands. I have several Giottos tripod/monopods, and I wouldn't hesitate to pick one of these up (and likely will). I love their stuff - typically very innovative, well thought-out, and tough as nails. If you do end up getting one, please let us know how it turns out.
