In Paint Shop Pro XI there is a "flood fill" and a "color changer". Can the color changer be used in a challenge entry if it is applied to the whole image in basic editing?

For instance if I have an item on a black or white background but I want the background whiter or more black can I use the color changer on white to whiten the background or on black to make the background more black etc? It sort of effects the image like "fade correction" does but better I think. So I would like to use it if I can.

Thanks from Agnes

I believe the short answer is no. That's spot editing. Look at curves to darken shadows or brighten highlights. You can't do it selectively in Basic.

EDIT: Oh, wait. I'm not council. Just a commoner. I'm sure someone with a much cooler icon that mine will chime in shortly...

The other way to get a definitive answer is to go to
Help > Contact us > Administrative Inquiry
there you can submit your question on a ticket and a Site Council member will answer your question.

I put in the inquiry but I never got an answer. I guess it must be spot editing then. I went with the fade correction and levels instead but it wont look as nice. :=(

Hi Limerick, not everyone has weighed in on your ticket, but yes, the tool does selective to those of us that have been able to research it.
