I was just taking a quick look to see how often some members participated in the voting process. I was surprised to see some really low numbers but some were very high. The highest I saw and I only had a quick look was Jutilda at over 90,0000. I have voted just over 70,000 times.
What about you, how often have you voted?? You can't complain about the low number of votes if you don't vote yourself!
The larger than normal votes on the Masters made me think of this. |

Personally voting is half the experience for me on this site, seeing how creative other people can be, stealing getting Inspiration for new ideas and also being able to identify what may have worked better. Depending on time I try and vote on as many as possible, I start with the ones I haven't entered but if I have time I vote on the ones I have as well |

14,519 in a little over a year. And it's the ones I've entered that I am most interested to vote in, though I do others as well. It's educational to see how others have interpreted the challenge. And as you can see by my profile, I tend to vote higher than what I receive.

Hehe. Most people stop voting on challenges they participate in because they don't think it's right, so this is a rather fresh stance.
No, people would not be offended in the slightest, and most would welcome your efforts heartily (even if silently.) |

I'll second that! I do not vote on challenges I enter. Though I feel I can be fair, I don't want to subconciously comapare all the other entries to mine. Not to mention that I get an inferiority complex before the voting is even over.
One of the biggest things people around here want, is more comments on their images. I know I do. For me, entering is a learning experience. When I enter, and get no comments at all, it feels like I almost wasted my time. Sure the score tells me something, but I have no idea what I was doing right, and what I was doing wrong.
If nothing else, join the Critique Club. It's all about comments and not about voting. Plus you only get images to review, where the photographer really wanted someone to critique it.

| 2596 but I've only been here since November 11th. I think I have voted on everything apart from one image in the latest Free Study which I hated as an image but I could see it was well shot so I abstained. |

75,355 for me, coming up on 4 years this month. I've slacked WAY off in the last 12-18 months, unfortunately. But for he first couple years I voted like crazy...

I thought that was passable 'til I realized that I have 4600 posts in the forums.

So far...142,271. I did miss a few votes when I was travelling throughout the USA and on a few occasions while I was working away from home.
