| Its been a few years since we had a personification challenge. I wouldnt mind seeing another one come up soon. |

When this was first done way back, I was hoping to see images of literary personification or something stimulating/creative and was disappointed with all the hat's on dogs kind of stuff.
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared

Silence like a cancer grows

And tenement halls"
And whispered in the sounds of silence |

When I think back on all the crap I've learned in highschool
Its a wonder I can think at all
Though my lack of education hasn't hurt me much
I can read the writings on the walls

In the clearing stands a boxer
and a fighter by his trade

But the fighter still remains...
