I was just warming up my coffee in the microwave and had a thought...
What if I rigged up the microwave to run without the door on it, plugged it in outside, faced it toward the neighbor's barking dog, and let it run on high 24x7?
Just a random thought.

1. Since the effectiveness of the microwaves falls off with the square of the distance, I think you'd mainly succeed in running up your electric bill.

3. Those little boxes above the supermarket's "automatic" doors are microwave emmitter/detectors. Just a thought ... |

| That is not a random thought. For less money than it would cost to replace your microwave and all the damage that your proposed usage would do to your electrical system someone(?) could buy an anti-bark collar for the dog and maybe something else for its owner. |

My apologies...here's my random thought....
E.T. walked by and saw the unattended microwave. His presence caused the neighbors dog to cower in the corner quietly while E.T. ingeniously rigged the microwave to phone home. As the sun set and darkness fell,  Strikeslip now has a whole horde of aliens on his doorstep to deal with, but at least the dog was quieted. ;-)
