GO VOTE! Did you put time and effort into your FS shot this month? Well, so did everyone else (for the most part). Go vote the first 125 the system gives to you - less intimidating than 400 and will cover the 20% requirement. If everyone who entered did that, we'd have plenty of votes. If you don't like voting challenges you enter, keep in mind a FS is different - there's no "meeting the challenge" involved. The shots will be different, varied, cover all sorts of topics.... And you might even enjoy seeing what others have submitted!

I don't know Deb. I'm kind of glad voting has stopped and I wish it would stop in the MFS as well. It seems voters have forgotten that the numbers 6 thru 10 exist.

I've augmented my voting for all challenges this week seeing the many great images there are from many of our top photogs.
Go vote peeps, voting and commenting is the lifeblood of DPC and its members/users.
ETA. There are 992 images to vote on in 6 challenges so any help you can muster up is going to help.

I'm not in it, but I'll go ahead and vote. Do very many people really only vote for a partial percentage of photos in a given challenge? |

Right here. I vote my 20% or so, but make an effort to leave a fairly high percentage of comments. My belief is that both myself and the person receiving the vote/comment will gain more if I spend my voting time that way. |

yospiff, that makes sense to me then. My personal reason for voting on all of them is that I try to vote on all the images and then go back through and refine things to make sure they are voted relative to their competition, and not necessarily what I feel should succeed in something before starting a vote. Given how much you've commented though, I like your approach too. I asked because I wondered if people really did just slack off on voting and do the bare minimum sort of thing, which is obviously not your approach. Anyway, not to derail the thread, so in the spirit of things...
GET OUT THERE AND VOTE PEOPLE! |

I normally will vote 100% of a challenge - I like to see everything folks have entered. I actually enjoy seeing what people capture and share. The voting is rather secondary for me. The reason I suggested a number is to try to get some of those intimidated by the prospect of voting on over 400 entries to at least make a contribution. The site "serves" up entries in different random orders so if folks vote the first 125 they get (or so) it should provide a fairly even distribution of votes.
Of course if you want to vote the whole challenge, that's even better!! Thanks to those who've jumped in to do their part - much appreciated. (And though I have a horse in the race, he's most certainly not anywhere near the front of the pack. Nor the front of the middle of the pack. He's not running dead last, but he's definitely taking his own sweet time...) |

I wonder if voting for the FS is slow because there are two special challenges to vote on this week?

Deb, I'm slowly working on FS.
You have rated 186 of 416 images (45%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 28 images (7%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 5.6398.
I think that all the voters are wrapped up in the MFS and not paying much attention to this one. I'm not going to look at the MFS until after I've voted in the regular FS. I want to try to vote as fairly as possible.

Love all the responses, folks! Really, keep it up!
I voted the Master's already - have to say that there are a few more jewels in the regular FS than in the Master's, so it's worth your while to vote the normal one as well. :-) |

Got to agree with you there! Some really lovely stuff in this month's FS.
ETA. That's both FS challenges 100% scored. Now back to take another look and bump/maybe comment.
