This will be my first trip to London and other then trying to get to the typical touristy stuff I wanted to know if you can get good shots from the London Eye through the glass. If so what times would be better for lighting.
Oh I fly this afternoon and I already know that tomorrow is supposed to be fogged in. Hopefully the weather on the weekend will be fair. |

I've not done it myself, but judging from the pics on Panoramio, you can get some good shots.
The weather isn't looking too bad.

I took these 4 years ago with a point and shoot, they are all straight out of the camera as I had no idea what photoshop was those days!
I believe the best way to shoot through glass is have the lens as close as possible ... I think I read a polarizing filter helps as well but I could be wrong on that one |

I got some pretty good shots from the London Eye when I visited London in September, I went up in it practically as soon as they opened, that way the sun is to your back if you are shooting towards Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, etc. Here are a few quick edits:
A few reflections visible here:

I've managed to get on for twilight a couple of times. Light is pretty good then. |
