I think we need another Flowers challenge, dedicated to our beloved friend, Shez sherpet, what do you guys think?

No more outdoor flowers in Canada this time of year except your local botanical gardens.

But that means I would have to actually go to these gardens and that's good. :)

I second this suggestion.

I agree......but with the temps below freezing here, I'm gonna have to convince a local greenhouse or two it's for a good cause to let me take pictures.

For Shez.....I can do that!......8>)

We can always do a Christmas week side challenge for her if nothing comes up before then.

I like it. I like the idea of a challenge for Shez & also the idea of a flower challenge in December. I'm fascinated by the forms of dead flowers & seed pods. The botanical garden here leaves plenty of these standing until spring. Not to mention those always-fascinating roadside attractions in the ditches & fence-lines. The landscape photographers could put a bit of flora in the FG. It would be fun for all.

That's is an excellent idea too ;)

I proposed the flowers challenge, but I forgot about winter time =( (this is what happen when you live in an Island ;)

I did this a few months ago for Shez but never got to post it. I made this specifically with her style in mind, bright colours and tight cropping being two distinct techniques she often uses. I also used a square crop as she has done so with good results.

I would love a flower challenge too, but definitely not until we get some daylight! (Dark here for 18 hrs a day right now and even when it is light, you typically need the lights on unless the sun happens to make one of it's very rare appearances)

i agree, even though right now would be a great time since Shez is feeling sicky. yeh, my local flower place charges me $3 a stem, so id be very broke if we chose to do it now lol

hope it happens at some point though

You don't need to buy a whole bunch, just one will put a smile on her face. :)

If this challenge was definitely for Shez, ie 'Flowers for Shez' then yes, I would fork up some $$ for a few fwowers. If it were just for the sake of having a flower challenge, I'd probably pass.

I can do the square crop, but my talent is definitely not up to the Shez Standard.
It would be interesting to try to emulate her style, in tribute & admiration.

I love this one too. You have a wonderful idea about trying to emulate her style, I thought about the flowers, but like I said before, I forgot about winter time (sorry), but I honestly hope Langdon, will lets us have a challenge in Shez sherpet honour ;)
