i sold (well its in the process...) my first (and second!) photographs this weekend! my dads friend blew up a picture of a rose i had taken to a size of about 18"x24" and had my moms friend and my chemistry teacher begging me to let them buy one of the prints. I was so excited haha! my teacher said she would give me $30...does this sound like a fair price? and what is a fair price for an unframed print? any comments would be appreciated! (ha im slightly excited if you couldnt tell!) |

Don't undervalue your photography. This sounds kind of cliche, but sell it at whatever you value it at. Congrats on the sales by the way, still waiting for my first sale.

That's a really handy visual aid. Would you care to modify it to show people where to find the Image_ID number?
Congrats to all new sellers -- hopefully you'll have lots of repeat customers. |

If you can set the date on your camera, you can sell prints here.
1. Go to your portfolio; click on the photo you want to make prints of
2. Scroll way to the bottom of the page; click on the link which says "upload printable image" or similar
3. Once the large print file has uploaded, you have the option to click on the "get started" link to start the approval process for selling prints. You have to come back to this photo page and see if the link changes to an "Approved" link; you then have to set your sale prices and "activate" the print
4. You can skip step 3 for any photos you just want to order yourself -- those do not need any kind of approval and can be printed at any size, not just optimal/approved sizes |

If your other site allows deep-linking to the image file, use the middle button ("Insert Image") to enter the full URL of your image. We'd prefer it if you'd make your own thumbnail version and post that here, with a text link to the page with the high(er)-res photo. |

Not the right size or aspect ratio? Size limit is 16mb. For public prints, make sure your image fits one of the standard aspect ratios exactly -- crop or border to fit.
Also, make sure you're not trying to upload the printable image to your portfolio -- it won't fit there. Upload a small image (like for a challenge or smaller) to your portfolio, then follow the steps I outlined to upload the large printable file. That does not count against your space allocation.

Someday, maybe someday, I will sell a print. I just need to keep building up my portfolio and keep sticking with that, my recent submissions won't neccesarily help that, but I have faith that I will sell one...someday.
