Might make for some interesting street photography.

I second staying away from that chaos. People get really stupid on that day. Only to save a buck or two

My Plans for Black Friday:
1. Sleep in late, it's a holiday for our company.
2. Eat a turkey sandwich for lunch.
3. After the love of my life returns from the shopping wars, tell her I want to go out to dinner. I'm tired of turkey.

Sleep in to recover from all the Thanksgiving cooking and enjoy the leftover feast so I don't have to cook again! That's my plan every year! Shop the day after Thanksgiving? NEVER! My Christmas shopping is almost done and what little I have to buy I can go 3 blocks down the street for one (in a non crowded place) and the last 3 gifts will be done over the internet! Then I'm headed to FL for 10 days and spending Christmas day at Disney World, the rest of the time there just enjoying the beach and warm weather. My kinda holidays!

I've given up on Thanksgiving cooking since I've discovered Huber's makes a pretty good T-Day dinner...surely you're close enough to come on up.

I'm very close enough for Huber's .. we usually do some fall festivity there but didn't this year. It's a great place and never thought about it for Thanksgiving! Sounds like a good plan for next year though!

Well, give me a holler next year. My mom, my girlfriend, and I have been going up there for the last few years. Maybe we can meet up there in '09.

My middle son wants a Wii so I have been mentally preparing myself to wait in line with the other crazies for the $249 deal at the local Wally World tomorrow morning. As the fates would have it, just minutes ago I found the same deal, the same price online (and in stock) at GameStop. I am quite the thankful mom this Thanksgiving morning.

I still have to go wait in various lines with the other crazies tomorrow morning, but I figure the bike line and the kids' clothing line will be a bit shorter and less dramatic than the Wii line would ever be. ;)

I am actually working from 4am-4pm at bestbuy. I took a part time job there 4 months ago to pay for the mustang instead of selling it.

What if the market crashes tomorrow? What will they call it? Really Black Friday? ;]

Have a great time with your families all. :D

Buy Nothing Day

stay home?

I did my BF shopping yesterday at Newegg.com - bought 3 monitors at good prices and no shipping -they've even shipped if the email is to be believed.

I did the camp out overnight thing a couple of years back and it was fun to be able to remember it -the cold, the boredom, the peeing behind the bushes at the back, chick-fil-a at 4 am bringing around food (thank god I don't work for them!). I saved $1800 that night.

I just don't see such smoking deals this year - heck, I paid less for some stuff I bought 2 years ago than the prices will be this year (car nav system last year was $99, this year it's $199!)

The family got it's big gift last month (50 inch plasma tv). It was on sale for the same price it was at last black friday.

I'm ready for the holidays to be over. It's such a pain to go into any store anywhere over the next month.

Good message but one that will be hard to pass along to the frenzied masses hoping to save 20% on that third 50 inch panel that they just have to buy because of the savings. Then they charge their credit cards and pay 19.99% interest for a year before paying it off. lol This is what our economies are based on according to the latest events everyone is seeing in their respective countries; credit.

Going shopping early in the day. In the evening I'm going to see the Cleveland Cavaliers play basket ball.

Dress in black, get a buzz, go around and sing among random crowds in the local shopping mall "Stray Cat Strut".
