For Raw conversion the Image Data Converter that came with the Sony camera.
For PP I use Gimp.

ΓΆ€ΒΆ iPhoto 7.1.5
ΓΆ€ΒΆ Digital Photo Professional 3.4.1

CS4 with Camera RAW and Bridge as a work horse.
Aperture for occasional lay-outs, books and prints.
iPhoto, very rarely, for casual use, snap shots, email etc.
DPP? I never use it.

Just switched to Lightroom from PSE for organizing and pre-editing. Then Photoshop for the final edit.
And still keywording my 14,000+ images in Lightroom LOL

Me too!

I used DPP before I got CS3, but I didn't like the hit and miss guessing to get the right file size, sometimes when I resaved at lower quality the size actually increased, and the quality went down significantly with the resolution. Of course if Judi uses it I suspect I either used an old version (9) or I sucked at using it.

A lot of Lightroom 2.1 lately. Paintshop pro XI only occasionally now. Photomatix when its needed (which hasn't been for a while)

Sorry, I just checked and I used to use Microsoft Digital Image Pro 9, not Digital Photo Pro.

A number of folks have referred to DPP - had it on my computer since I bought the camera. Never used it - any reason why? I'm not really sure why people would use it (thats not a criticism). Is there a preference or is it just routine?

I use RawTherapee for RAW conversion, minor editing (crop, rotate, resize) in digiKam and occasionally Gimp for more complex editing.

Bibble Pro (RAW conversion), Photoshop CS for editing and PtGui 8 for panoramic stiches.
Still doing editing on Windows, hope to get everything running on Linux soon :-)

MS Paint - cant wait for the next version of Windows as Paint is one of the features they have touted as being upgraded.. yay!
