I finally got over that "the average 5" streak, but I can't speak too much, it is so early in the voting.
I have looked over many of the photos, and some are really to die for.
Not sure if I am going to vote, but just want to say there are some real insightful shots there people. Great job. |

mine goes up and down all the time.
after 15 votes i almost abandoned my score at 5.5 but now has climbed up to 6.2
let's see what the evening will bring ;)

Went down, but I picked up a fave. After twelve hours of voting, I'm still over 7! Life is GOOD! LOL!!!

I'm making my way through comments...but, haven't done any scoring yet. Just evaluating and trying to make as many comments as I feel I can give first, then will go back and score. I'm doing it rear backwards this time. :) Will hopefully get to yours at some point if I haven't already??? Don't know where in the mix of 150+ shots yours is...but, I'm trying to get there. |

Took a look at some of your portfolio and you have NOTHING to feel upset over because you have some FABULOUS shots in there!!! I think that it's just that there's a certain look to winning/higher scoring shots in here that isn't necessarily your style (mine either for that matter it seems :)) You have a marvelous artsy feel to your shots and I'd say....KEEP IT!!!! Don't stray away from being true to your work and your own sense of style! If you try to match what wins in here, you'd be losing your own special photographic imprint and that would be a shame to lose that. I really like your work! :) |

OH my god, thank you for such a wonderful ego boost!!! You are really sweet to say these things. I really appreciate the compliments and feedback!!! I know from being on dpc for a while now, that you most definitely cannot please everyone. But sometimes when we see lower scores, we get discouraged. It's just a reminder that we all have our own unique style, and it's not going to appeal to everyone.

I got 14 comments for my shot in the "Street Photography" and only 1 in this one!
Its more exciting getting a comment from out there than getting a better score! But I have hopes on this one! |

You didn't find me yet, but somebody else did, so I'm not left out! :) Thanks for commenting, I know a lot of people here appreciate it! I'm really trying to comment as much as possible now that I understand how much it means to me to get a comment, even if it's a bad one. At least then I know what to improve on!
Personally, I like your method as I would rather get a comment than a score :P |

So far the score is great, but the comments are better.
Getting the comments whether constructive criticism or positive feedback, is always awesome.
almost as good as a ribbon I think.
Imagine winning a ribbon with no comments, that would be ridiculous. |
