This thread is becoming a much desired collection for someone like me who need inspiration:-)

I really believe in photography that touches hearts (favorited) more than its rankings. It is great when the two coincide... but its always better to touch some souls.

A very small number in comparision. I only have 5, and it hasnt done anything in quite some time. Acutally suprisingly I havent got many favs at all lately :( Percentage wise, it was only 57% as well.

My "Flood Tide and Cattails" has 125 favorites, by far the most faves on any of my images (77 faves is next) and finished 100th percentile. Oddly, I have 4 images that show 100th percentile, but only this one got a blue ribbon, the others finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in their challenges...

It is five times better than mine with just 1 fav! The point is to see what images touch people... this one did. Thanks for sharing!

Bear is a tough act to follow but here goes:

Most fav'd (3)



It was 91%.

Highest percentage-wise (92%) has only one fav.


That challenge had 427 entries so 36th was not too shabby.

edit to add: Oh yeah. Bear...you'll see you have a new fav for that pic :)

Not that I dont like the second one, but I would fav teh first one as well!!

So the highest fav count yet in this thread is like 125 I think. Perhaps we should make another number: favoriteCount/NumberOfMonthsImageWasOnnline. May give an idea of how frequently one image gets tagged J/K Bear;-)

I think it is ridiculous how much more attention a ribbon winner gets than other shots...this one has over 14,000 views...
my next shot down has 79 favs, no ribbon, and under 3,000 views (less than 1/4 the views)...certainly some people have brilliant work that just isn't seen by many...
I am not complaining, just amazed when I happened to look at my stuff and saw the views to favs ratios...

yeah what bucket said. my most favorited shot was my only blue ribbon so far
with 36 favs and about 11k views.
my 3rd most favorited shot was a 4th place and only has a crawling 3k views, which goes to show that ribbon winners get a whole lot more attention indeed.

but only my 5th highest score. That's probably because it came in a free study and not a themed challenge which tends to have a higher ceiling for scores.

21 favs but only 40%, not my best by a long shot. I am just happy that it touched so many people as it is my personal fav as well.
