No, but I can give you my 3 kids and a bad case of tinnitus and you'll think you already have silence ;-)

Well, you could try to be me, but I don't know how to download me... (I am totally deaf, in case you aren't aware of that)

Yes, so make sure you type loudly and slowly. It helps, you know. Oh, and repeat a lot.

If I am not mistaken, Bear_Music does not use sign language, he lip reads.

Yes, that is correct. Bear lips reads vs using sign. So I guess we can still sign things about him to his face and be safe j/k

Wow, Bear, add me to the list of people who didn't know...not that it matters, you don't shoot with your ears! And your shots are great, love the Big Sur Condor.

hey another weird question. what do you need silence for?
10/25/2008 01:22:40 AM · #19
In the seventies a record company in LA issued a record called âThe best of Marcel Marceau.â It had forty minutes of silence followed by applause and it sold really well. I think i still have a copy somewhere, the blurbs on the back of the LP where hilarious.

ok maybe its a 70s thing, but why would that be a best seller?

Couldn't download you, you kept failing the CBC test. Cyclical Bear Check. Apparently you don't go in the woods. Were you always deaf? I find as I age and my exposure as a young man to gunfire slowly takes my hearing, my ability to lip read continually improves. Depending on the lips of the speaker I can sometimes catch as much as 20 percent of a conversation on TV with the sound off. What was the original thread about.......

Im making a slideshow with a free programme at the end I want to have my daughter narrate a saying but the music goes past where the slideshow ends so the only way I can figure to do it is to add the silence as "music" starting at the slide with the saying. Phew I dont know if I explained that very well!

Can't you just fade the existing music to nothing?

No wish I could, I love this programme ( photostory 3 ) but it does have its shortcomings!

Sounds as though you might be better using one of the Windows media programs. You can put together a 'movie' of photos with soundtracks on Windows Moviemaker (I think that's what its called, I've changed to mac so my memory may be failing me). Anyway they enable you to put together the slideshow and soundtrack as separate entities, and silence will follow the music wherever you need. If you have XP it should be built into your system. I created a promo DVD when I was in the music business using that method, and it worked really well, using only stills and sound tracks. From memory we put the images on to match the sound, not the other way round.
