hey can someone help em with this back lighting challenge? how do i make the lighting softer so it doesn't make a silhouette? im just not sure how o go about this, any help would be nice. oh, just a reminder, i do plan on sucking in this challenge, so no worries:)

but then if you plan on sucking...;-) I'll probably be shooting for it this evening, if I discover anyting cool I'll let you know...maybe try a homemade refelctor, ie shiny side of aluminum foil taped onto a slab of cardboard?

So.....I think I've got a new working definition of obsessive behavior...

If I click on the challenges link, between images in voting, submission, and the challenges completed last week, I've got six up.

That's kinda funny when I look back and realize that I entered as many challenges in November as I did in August, September, and October combined.

I went nuts in July, too, with seven entries.

I'm in Hanging, too.....kind of a chickensh*t entry, but it may do okay.

I'm goin' for a Top 50! LOL!!!

I've been waffling ALL day.....any chance a couple of you'd be willing to take a look at one I've got up on an unpublished web page to give me an opinion?

I've got this entry that I *WILL* enter, but I don't know which challenge.

I have it entered, so I can pretty much just go with it if nobody wants to commit, but I just want a couple opinions......I've stared at it too much today.

Greetings from Kuwait! You know, it's kinda funny - when I first had to come down here, I was SO dreading it, and I never thought I'd make it through that first week. But now I really do enjoy coming back. This time of year is gorgeous (relatively speaking) here. Moderate day temps, cool nights, gentle breeze (ie no sandstorms) and clear skies with tracings of clouds. Good to see the folks here, too.

I was going to stay a week but the people I need to work with here are swamped so I may end up heading back a bit early. In the mean time, though, I'm currently enjoying the evening at a picnic table outside as the sun sets. Internet is a by the day or by the month thing now but a whole lot faster than it was when it was "free" so I can't complain. :-)

I had Thanksgiving with the folks in our offices here. They went all out - grilled turkeys and tons of side dishes. It was quite nice!

Internet speed is faster, but it still takes a bit of doing to vote a challenge.... :-) Giving it a shot, though!

Hello all to have been away, did you miss me? (HA)

I was in hospital for a week, I would have loved to have my camera in there with me I could have got a shot of me for the Hanging On By A Thread challenge :)

But I didn't know what the challenges where until I got home anyway, so I have to go back and do it all again so I'm glad I managed to get a shot in for the back light challenge. It fits the challenge description perfectly but sadly it's not a great shot and so I still hold up my team suck team spirit :)
