Last bump I'll give it. Will start a new thread for images on Saturday. Before of all things, I go shoot a wedding and then go out of town for a week. :D

Count me in. I haven't done a side challenge before, so hopefully I'll figure this out by Saturday.

Lame bump from my last HS volleyball game of the year. Last College game will be next saturday. Football will likely end next week as well.

Basketball is beginning to start...

Is it ok if I only post 1 or 2 a week? I'm borrowing a lens and not sure when I'm going to have to give it back.

Its a side challenge........only requirements are at least 10 by the end of the month, and three comments for each image you post on someone else image posted in this thread.

I start swimming on Saturday however, nothign else at the moment. I'm looking and am goingto push for some hockey and b-ball. So Matt, are you still using the expo disk, if so how do you like it. I've been looking at them but they are really expensive around here? Need to justify to my wife.

The above shot was done using an Expodisk with a custom WB. I prefer to use it and start with a consistent WB and then if there are color shifts from light cycling then at least I can make the same adjustments. Tonight I shot in a new gym and had never been there. Great light and consistent so I had to make very few if any adjustments to anything beyond a quick levels and curves adjustment, run through Noise NInja and off to the editor. AWB just isnt that good because depending on whats filling the frame it can change. Yeah the disk is expensive, there are alot of things cheaper. This is just my method because using grey cards and so forth a reflection on it can change the true reading. At least IMHO

I just got word that I will be shooting more b-ball this month as well. Love it when this happens.

I'll give this a wing too. Gotta start somewhere, though actually finding events might be somewhat difficult this time of year for me and my current selection is somewhat limited lens wise for anything low light... excuse to buy an 85 f/1.8? hmmmmmmm.......

lol my thoughts exactly. I've been trying to get up my courage to buy that lens for about three months now...

AGH I went to order it and couldn't remember my PIN number.

Shooting a basketball game tonight, I'll post some pics when I get back. Hopefully I don't die by basketball, especially since I'm borrowing a lens....:(

Just be sure and post them in the correct thread. I suppose this one could be locked to avoid confusion huh?

Hi
Is it to late to get onboard. Just found this challenge the other day and today pulled up the rules. I do a lot of high school sports. Football is coming to an end with the state playoffs starting this weekend. Basketball starts in a week.
Do the photos have to be taken in November?

Well technically it wouldnt be a Month long side challenge if you didnt take them in the month we did it. Its not too late to start, and you are welcome to join. Just follow the posting rules from this thread and post images in the other thread. Make sure when you post photos to follow up with the correct number of comments on other images posted in the thread.
