This is a photo I took while on vacation a few years ago. As one of the current challenges is window view I thought I would find out how this would have fared if it had met the dates.

Composition is superb! I believe the focus should have been the outdoor scene rather than the window frame. Possibly could be improved by some sharpening and contrast enhancement.
I would have given it at least a 5.

Brooding - beautiful. I love the effect and "feel" that the raindrops on the window lend. Proof that good photos can be made in almost any kind of light - especially when the light is an integral part of the photo.

Thanks for the comments.
What caught my eye first with this was the subdued colour and a feeling of emptyness from the empty beach and the rain.
I agree that the image needs a contrast boost and some sharpening (which I applied after it was mentioned). I'll have to work on the contrast though it does look brighter in photoshop than when posted. I know there's a thread on that. |
