Any cameras in the <$1000 price range have this feature (besides the Sony Alpha A350)? Not having much luck searching. Thanks.

It's the Olympus E3. More than you wanted to pay, but I'm glad you asked, because it also has a good 100% fov viewfinder which is one thing I'd like when I do upgrade. Though even at the price there are some inconveniences compared to others. Check out dpreview.

Panasonic Lumix G1
New mirrorless DSLR, smallest DSLR on the market and with tilt screen live view option. :)
I am surprised this hasn't gotten more attention.

I have live view on my E3. I use it once in a while when I just cant bend my neck to see through the viewfinder. I'd use it more but it sucks the life right out of my battery so I need to carry a spare battery or two.

Yes, the Pana G1 has and hasn't got attention. For me it seems very attractive except that we can't be sure what lenses we can and can't have, and using an adapter for existing lenses doesn't seem that wonderful. Really not sure they are going to do too much follow through on this one, at least not in the very near future.
