I see side challenges and people doing them... Would I be able to start one or is it something a certain person has to do... I want to see some photos from other people of something that I take a lot of, sports... So either A)do i start it or B)tell someone that it is my suggestion to start one?
Thanks!!! |

All side chalenges cost 25 dollars to start, please send the money to me and I wil get it set up....
Seriously most of them just start up and only need someone to help organize, which could be your self. |

I've started one before, it's very easy.
Maybe a week or so before the end of the month say something like - November Side Challenge Sports, and see who signs up.
I suggested a set your own free study so that everyone did what they wanted for a month and it was brilliant.
Give it a go - great way to see heaps of inspiring images, get to know folk and get and give loads of comments. |

Thanks for the replies and I think that I will start one... What about like a side challenge lasting a week at a time...? Is there anyone who does this? Is this something that is against the rules? |

The only rule of side challenges is that there are no rules unless you make them and typically once you make them they are very flexible. Whatever you decide. Weekly challenges are better for those who are unsure of time commitments, and aern't unusual at all. |

I should do more side challenges. I was pleased with myself for actually keeping up with a picture a day for a whole month in June. (30 days of shoehorns, -whew!-)

mbrutus2009, you should tell me when you plan to do this, because although I have ZERO sports experience, I am definitely willing to get my feet wet. Depending upon the format, I would be interested and I'll try to keep my eye open for the post. Another option is the "challenge for the time challenged" like the current Oct. macro challenge. A minimum number of comments and photos is ascribed to the challenge and people can post as they please, which helps "attendance" since most people can make time for 10 photos a month and 30 comments. I don't want to influence you but if you did this I would surely participate, but would try to participate in other sports challenges as well, as I am somewhat curious about trying it but have limited access to sports events when I am not working. Also, I am a rather new member as well, and welcome to the party! (several months belated) |
