Refresh my memory. What was our error, again? |
Nah...no error, just a misunderstanding on my part. |

Thank you Joe for keeping on top of the stats!
May I make one small suggestion though? To make it a bit more interesting for those of us on teams that are not vying for the lead, can you please post the actual finishing positions for the most recent week? So for example the team I am on (Canada 1) is mired in 15th place, but last week we did get over 9 points and gained on some teams. However since it did not change our position in the standings it really does not show the hard work that went into it.
It would be cool to see the most recent week's results so that even lower teams can look forward to being able to say "hey, we finished 1st this week or 5th or whatever" regardless of where the team is sitting for the season. I think it would add some energy to those of us that are out of the race for the lead.
Just a thought for you to toss around.
thanks,
Ernie |

Anyone know where the results went for the alternative scoring? The page does not seem to be working. :( |

I just wanted to let everyone know that I will not be able to update the results this week due to an out of town family emergency. My father is having a patch put on his ribcage to keep his lung from going through it when he breathes. I will back on sunday and I will be able to update the site then. If anyone has any questions I do still have email.

Thanks everyone, they postponed his surgery because the surgeon thinks that there might be a different solution. So we will find out more on Friday. The down side is there is only about 300 cases of this and it is VERY rare. He has a softball size bruise on his side from coughing. He is in a ton of pain and it hurts me to see him like this.
Anyway Thanks everyone...

They still don't know what's wrong with him.
He's my story; I flew up to MD on Tuesday from AL because they were going to do surgery on Wednesday morning to put a patch on his ribs because he has a herniated lung that sticks out of his rib cage when he breathes. However over the course of 2-3 days prior to Tuesday his surgeon was talking with another surgeon and thought that surgery was a bad idea and would only make the results look better in the CT scans. Doing the patch would cause the pain that is has already classify as a 10 on a scale of 1-10 to be in the range of a 40, which is 4 times more pain then he already has. We went over to University of Maryland on Monday to talk with the surgeon that thought surgery wouldn't be a good idea and found out that he has irregular lungs. We went home and he was just fine. Now when I say fine I mean he is able to walk around and sit down without any major problems. Around 8pm, about 3-4 hours after we got home he started to show signs of rough breathing and slight discomfort when sitting. At 11:30 he was hurled over his recliner on his knees saying that he can't breathe. I called 911 and went with him to the ER.
After his 3rd CT scan, his 5th x-Ray, a ton of meds, hardly any sleep, and explaining his story to about 20 different people they now they think he might have mesothelioma which is causing the pain in his chest. My mom has been in tears since the mesothelioma news which was just over 30 minutes ago. I don't think things are looking good here. The down side is my flight is tomorrow to go back to AL and they aren't going to do anything else until Monday.
I guess I'll wait and see.

Oh... Joe, I'm praying for your dad, your mom, and for you.
Has your dad been exposed to asbestos a lot?

It's got to be so frustrating to not to know what's causing the problem on top of all the suffering. I wish your dad and your family the best. |
