| Okay thanks.. so whats the main differences between the Speedlite 580EX II and the Speedlite 430EX? |

From this past weekend, 580 EXII on a light stand with a small portable softbox using RadioPoppers to fire the slave:
  
Putting a CTO Gel over the flash (normally used to balance your flash with Tungsten lighting), and then setting white balance to Tungsten on camera, the subject looks normal, but this causes the background to go blue:
