Your camera basically replaced mine.
Just checked on the official Fuji site and it states that it shhots from ISO 160 to 800 in aunto focus mode and from 200 to 800 mode in manual mode.
Yer gonna need neutral density filters if you want a lower ISO value. That's the next step for me before I go to DSLR.

Never heard of them. What do they do and where can I get them?

The filters are like sunglasses for cameras. They lower the amount of light that enters the camera without altering the colors (unless you get a split filter that has a special coating for that purpose). They come in several strengths so the blocking can be varied. Some people use a cicular polarizer(sp)to accomplish the same thing because it can give you a 2 stop difference.
Why do you want to lower your iso? Do you get a lot of noise because of the higher iso? Or do you want to use a slower shutter speed to get blur? If it's the noise, the filters will not help much because you are not really changing the iso. That is a feature of the camera. If the lowest it can go is 200, then that is the lowest it can go.
Anyway, hope this helps. |

I think there's a confusion here between ISO and shutter speed. They are not the same thing. Using an ND filter will lower the shutter speed needed for a good exposure at a constant ISO.
You don't need an ND filter to give you the option of the lower ISO. Your camera is either capable of using a lower ISO or not. From what Beagleboy states about your specs it sounds like you have to shoot it auto and hope the camera chooses the lowest value. I'd check your manual. It will give you the limitations of your camera. |

IN auto mode sometimes goes down to 160 wheen shutter speed gets to the limit.

It's the same with the Fujifilm S5000. ISO 160 is the lowest in Auto mode. |
