I really liked my free study image. It was DQ'd for overexposing / removing too much background, apparently.

But I wanted to show the progress of my kiddo (and the reverse progress of my photography, I suppose ;) :

Thanks! I really like your family shots too! The bowling is the most recent and emotive for me.
Here's Zella (classic car-seat Buddha pose)

One minute I looked, then I looked away for a minute, next I looked again and our daughter was 17!!! Time flies Tate, make the most of every single opportunity and don't let a day go by that you don't tell her you love her more than anything. My daughter is my best friend...girls need their dad's love and affirmation ENJOY HER

Is the original posted? I'm not quite sure why it would be DQ'ed for over exposing. Did we not just have such a challenge? Unless the over exposure was done in camera, then perhaps a bunch of those should be disqualified also.

It's a silly rule, with no relation to what is or is not "photographic." I hope they change it.

Wow, time flies! She sure has grown in a couple of short years! Beautiful! You must be proud! :-)

What does the original look like? Could it be you overexposed in pp only, thus : use ANY editing tool to move, remove or duplicate any element of your photograph that would change a typical viewer̢۪s description of the photograph (aside from color or crop), even if the tool is otherwise legal, and regardless of whether you intended the change when the photograph was taken.

orig shot:

Exposed when editing RAW image:

Basically 2 exposures of one image to remove background stuff.
I wanted to appeal but it didn't make sense since I was removed from voting. I thought maybe it was like an "Reverse-HDR image"!
