For those of us who are not using one of those other types of cameras :P
There is a quarterly photo contest for Olympus users and I actually won something - whoo hoo! So if I can win, I'm sure the rest of you can too...
Good luck!

A deserving photo. Makes me think about rebelling against my Rebel and trading it for an E-520. |

Yes, yospiff, you should step away from the dark side and join us in Oly heaven hehe. I'm thinking I'd like an E-520 too. |

Makes me wish I hadn't gone over to the dark side. I'm still entering my non-HDR'd version of Applied Geometry, to remind me of the days before Nikon.
...Not that they were better :P |

I liked your non-HDR version better - thought it was a very good shot. I also loved your mathematics shot. That's another one to consider for later too. :)
I can enter again next month and I think I am going to enter my current FS just to see if it gets any consideration. |

I cant post to that gallery cause they said this...
"We are not currently accepting photos shot with the E-1 or E-3 cameras in this gallery. For E-1 and E-3 user contest notifications, please join our Elite Club."
I joined the Elite Club when I got my E-3, but haven't done anything with it YET! Guess I should!

Hey, Michelle, thanks for the update -- I would have missed this thread otherwise! Congrats on your Oly win!
My first serious film camera was an Olympus, btw. :-) |

For my fellow Olympians, you might want to check out the Olympus Pro Gallery here.

This Oly was a surprise gift (and I was actually hoping for a Canon to be my first DSLR). So I thought, I'll learn how to take digital pics and then move on. So a month ago, my husband saw an ad for a deal on a Canon Rebel xsi (whatever that new one is), and I actually hem-hawed on it. Did some research. And decided that I really do like this camera. So I guess this Oly must be my first serious (digital) camera too lol. |

Did not know about this site. Pretty cool. A Yoko Ono is listed as a pro. Not the same famous one we all know, but thought that was interesting. Thanks for the link. |

Hahaha... yeah i saw that as well. The images they have in there really give me hope seeing as how good lighting and good camera skill will get you great results. I'm amazed at some of the shots done with my trusty E-1 and 14-54mm. |
