I love mine.
Go online to NikonUsa.com and download the updates. You can get the D2x's color settings. They're great. |

Ooh, new color settings? What does that do, exactly? |

Nothing if you shoot raw. Well not nothing...they will make the pics on that awesome 3" monitor look like jpgs and if you shoot jpg thats what they'll adjust.
Congrats Dude. Had mine almost a year and still finding new tidbits. Have fun! |

Indeed it is a super camera, I've never felt happy just picking up a camera, well, before the D300 at least. :) |

Just got a hang of all the basic functions. Anyone else have any 'insider' info you'd like to hork up, or is this kind of a 'the journey is half the enjoyment' thing? :P |

Interval timer is awesome for lightning shots. Just pop in the biggest CF cars you got (I picked up an 8GB just for this) point it at the sky and let it fill the card. |

Buy lots of CF cards, and a bigger hard drive. You'll need 'em. Oh, and more RAM for the computer.
Shoot with it for a few weeks, then read the owner's manual again. Lather, rinse, and repeat ad infinitum.
You'll love it. |

I agree with what everyone else has said. I got mine at the end of July and seriously cannot put it down. You will have so much fun with this camera! |

I've had mine 4 months and have taken over 10,000 shots. I had only taken 6,000 shots with my G2... in 5 years. Most aren't worthy of even a 4 but it is such a great camera to use I just can't help releasing the shutter. :) |

Since you guys seem to have dug this up again, I'd like to chime in and say I am quite familiar with the beast and quite happy with it. |
