Working on the kitchen table today and did this. I know this dosn't affect everyone, but is it obvious enough? Too obvious?

Maybe I don't get it, but does it have something to do with having diabetes? |

My mom has diabetes and has to test her blood sugar daily and so it seems obvious to me. It does represent what it is like having to do that, and I've done it myself once or twice and it hurts. I notice the number, so I assume you are doing a series of them. I think grouped together it could be very effective and dramatic, especially to those who live directly or indirectly with it.

It does have to do with diabetes. Having just recently being diagnosed (Type II) I am still finding ways to deal with it and this is one. Thanks for the input

I didn't get it either, have to admit. With some more context it makes sense though.
I don't think this makes it a bad photo though - some intrigue and questioning makes the viewer more involved and might provoke some thought and make them either try to understand more or at least read what you have to say about the pictures you are making.
I find the textual and contextual info around an image often really enhances looking at them - it is a shame we hide that info here from the voters.

im sure many will not get it, but being familiar with diabetes I knew what it was about when I saw it.
My father has diabetes, for all of my life, and it is harder for him to control now than it has ever been. I have had to give him the emergency gluc(sp?) shot several times as his blood sugar dropped down to 8 once before, and I tell you its real scary. Usually just some juice and a PB&J sandwich brings him back to normal, but sometimes it does not.
Sorry to hear you have it, just be more observant of the foods you eat and when you eat and Im sure you can control it very well.
