Have you heard this? I just got the Photoshop Elements

Adobe Discontinues Photoshop
In a move that no one expected, Adobe announced today that it has discontinued its flagship product, Photoshop. Despite the success of the Creative Suite which brought record-breaking profits and revenue in the fourth quarter of 2003, Adobe has decided it's time to halt development on Photoshop.

April Fool?

Google had a good April Fool's page going, but stopped advertising it for some reason. The text is still there (pretty funny) but the images are gone.

Adobe Systems CEO Bruce Chizen had this to say about the surprising announcement: "There is no doubt that Adobe Photoshop is one of the most innovative and widely used software programs today. But the need to continually introduce new, groundbreaking features while building on 14-year old product code has been extremely confining to our development team. We feel it's time to take Photoshop off the market--wipe the slate clean, so to speak--and see what our developers can do starting from fresh code. We can't tell you when our Photoshop replacement will hit the market, but we are confident it will blow away all expectations."

Happy April FOOLS DAY!!!!!!

I must admit I had to scroll down before I realised it was an April Fools joke.

Don't think so - it looks like it is off now. After a shift-refresh it is gone anyway.

I am not seeing the images, do you? I never know with my company's firewall, but never had trouble with images before. Just flash and other active stuff (sigh...)

Edit: Now it is back, and the pictures work. I think I caught it between updates or something... Funny stuff. Much like their spoof on their Pigeon Rank technology, which I believe was last year's April Fool's gag.
