Thanks all! I haven't had a shot with so many faves in a long time! It was a pleasant surprise to wake up and have the nice comments and such.

I got comments on PSig and elsewhere about my DoF, but I was hoping the mist covered that. I guess it's a taste thing.

No, you win being published in a newspaper with a 500,000 circulation in the Sunday edition. Works for me.

good job mav! maybe reduce the greens just a tad - seems to be a bit of green in the water.. not as clear there as it should be. did you enhance this? wonderful catch, composition.. etc. :)

PSig? Oh I missed that one lol 4/5 ain't bad though lol

Hey I hope you add it to your prints. I might be interested in buying a couple more. :) I think I like that one, one of the Korean palace shots and maybe the one of the homeless man (that has always been a fav) and even the other waterfall shot.

Actually, it's in Tully. It's not "normally" a falls - only during spring thaw. During summer and fall, it's a trickle on the side of the road. lol

I put the picture up on DPC Prints because of the wonderful reaction I got. I hope I can get some sales now! lol

Thanks to Jacko for the crop idea.

Very nice, Mav. I was gonna say just what KarenB did though about the greens - she just beat me to it. Also, I'd like to see a little more detail/contrast in the rocks, but that's hard without blowing out the foggy deer.

What a wonderful thing to happen upon. I'm jealous you even got to see it, much less photograph it.

I've come to the conclusion that we don't take great pictures sitting around thinking about them. Last weekend I wasn't home. I was out from 9am til late both days. I was home for an hour or two here and there mostly to DL pics and get my battery charger. I have a car ac adapter so I plugged the charger in while we were driving and walking around. I wish I had better skills, better focus, better color management in this shot - but this is about how I see it. The water has green? I only see green in one spot - a rock near the bottom third of the falls?
