For those arm-chair travelers, I'm up past my bedtime to get you the lastest and greatest in my weekend jaunts to the hotspots of Germany. This week's trip was to Trier, one of the oldest (if not THE oldest) cities in Germany. I've not the time to input the pictures here, but you can start with this one and click through to take the tour. Enjoy!

Very nice set Deb, hopefully someday I will have the resources to visit your side of the world. In the meantime I will sit on this here armchair and enjoy it from your perspective. : )

Thanks! I'd forgotten how beautiful Trier is. If you could take us to Rottenburg next I'd greatly appreciate it -- it was a favorite of mine.

LOL! It's on my list. As is Büdingen (was that it, Barbara?) and Worms. I also plan a repeat visit to Rüdesheim, since my first visit didn't quite go as planned and I didn't get any pictures. Though I may wait until later in the year when it's not quite as crowded. Any other requests?

Great collection of shots from Trier and the Rhine River area in your 07/08 folder. I like this sort of "arm chair" tour that you provided. It brings back a lot of memories since I used to live in the area when I was 10 to 14 years old and our family toured around there a lot. The shots of Rudesheim and the castles slong the river are what I remember the most.

Trier in the title of the thread got my attention because it was on the opposite side of Bitburg from where I lived in Pruem (or spelled Prum with an umlaut over the u).

A couple more from Trier have been added; some shots from Brussels, Belgium; a few shots from bike rides around where I live and a weekend wine festival in my town; and finally some new stuff from a day trip to Köln (Cologne), where I met up with Dylan ( shalrath) and Fiona ( ordinaryangel) - they were passing through on their whirlwind visits to all parts of the world.

Folder is here
