Using the advanced rule set, (but I really would love to see this in "Expert"), .....

Take an ordinary, four sided, with a top and bottom, card board box, and do with it you want to come up with a creative image.

Any size, with any dimension of card board box is ok.

This is thinking out of the box, using the box, to show what you have thought of out of the box.

Nice idea. Lots of great textures, shapes, and ways you can play with the lighting on something like this.

What can a card board box be if you used your imagination?

A last bump because I like the idea.

Yup, like Slippys image, me and my brothers always seemed to have more fun with the box, than what came in it. :)

Here was one I took for a previous challenge. Kids just love boxes!

Yeah...a second of genius interrupted from a lifetime of mediocrity.

Very interesting challenge idea. Be fascinating to see how may "photograph the box" more or less as is (i.e. "box on location"), how many use the box as a prop (i.e. "kids 'n boxes") and how many manipulate the box itself to create something-other-than-box out of it (i.e. "deconstructing the box") ΓΆ€” Plus, of course, how many would have no trace of the box in their entry (i.e. "thinking outside the box") :-)

I knew you would see the possibilities.

Pity hardly anyone else seems to be seeing them...

I actually had to do this as an assignment in a photo class I took in school. It was fun.

People usually execute my ideas better than I do anyway ... do I really need to give them any added advantage by blurting them out here? ;-)

Sounds like fun...now I need to go "get" something that comes in a box, lol...

You'd just get a million objects in homemade light boxes I'm sure...

that would be a cool box, for sure.

or, here's one for 'you know who'....a bunch of boxes stacked to look like a city, and a Godzilla like creature attacks.
