I am sooooooo remiss in commenting.....I *PROMISE* I will make time next week......life will be slowing down. I have a yard sale thing tomorrow and Saturday......first one in about 8 years, work has been CRAZY, culminating in my having a ramp collapse loading a lawn tractor into the back of a four wheel drive truck......I landed on my back and the tractor landed on top of me......

Day 11 - 
This is an abstract, of the lights and shadows, on our wall & ceiling, in our lounge room today. I played with this in 'photoshop', to get this effect, that I wanted when I first saw the light beams. I hope you like it, as I was pleased with the effect I achieved, from just a light source.

yesterday i went to see a reiki practioner in crows nest which is a suburb of sydney ..
i'd gone into this small room before seeing her and as a walked out i thought it looked pretty excellent with the little window and the view etc .. so i pulled my camera out'v my 'handbag', which is a backpack, so i can carry my camera everywhere, and took a couple of photographs .. its in the overlays side as well, but it really is a part of my life .. !!

So I did a photoshoot today with my friend Sara, who just happens to be the best model in the world...
This is our favorite...but this is apparently the most technically correct, according to photography ppl elsewhere on the nets. :)

We took a road trip to Gruene, TX today. We got off to a late start and arrived just before mid-day. I took these with my Canon P&S while my wife directed and shopped. Lots of sun and heat and it became pretty crowded later in the afternoon, but the town is a photographer's paradise. We'll be back next weekend for their monthly market days, and hopefully much earlier when the light and the heat isn't quite so harsh.

We had to make an emergency trip up to Seattle yesterday due to a death in the family. For an undetermined amount of time, we'll be posting about life - away from home... Days are chaotic and we're not quite focused with full brains so please be patient with us. Here's a shot from yesterday's drive... I drove straight thru- 13.5 hours door-to-door. Still haven't slept yet. Fires are burning everywhere in California and the smoke is, in some places, unbearably thick.
