Hey guys, I'm getting the crap kicked out of me this round. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster ride and I'm just waiting for someone to cut the tracks. I just want it to end. 5.48 is what I'm at at the moment, it's been much higher and much, much lower, but still above my average so I'll settle for that.

All I can say about this round is that it's a good thing there will be 7 scores to choose from! I am still sitting at around 5.1 so hopefully it won't fall any lower than that. I sure hope those 6+ scores hold for Colette and Jack, that's awesome! Quigley, your 5.48 is looking like up to me. :) GO TEAM!!!

I have my entry in for Purple this week. I am not sure if I will be able to enter next as I am leaving for Penticton tomorrow and will be gone for over a week. My husband and son are both competing in the Canadian Ironman Triathlon on August 24th. It would be a great time for a "sports" challenge"!

We are taking a laptop with us but it is an old little one with a nasty faded monitor and no photo-editting software :( I'll have to see what I can work out.

I should be in for purple, no idea how I found the time as my wife sprained and broke he right ankle on Friday night so that changed all my plans for the weekend including our anniversary yesterday...

I'm predicting my purple entry to do MUCH better this week than that other ducking photo that I was out of my ducking mind to enter in the first ducking place :P

I'm stuck with what to shoot for either challenge, my model was unable to do the shot for purple as her uncle passed away at a family golf game and she is of course beside herself with grief, and now my brain is locked up tighter than a bores ass in fly time. I just can't think of a shot and the harder I try the more I can't think, so today as I re shingle a customer's house, I'll put the shot in the back of my mind and see what happens.

I need an idea to hit me at some point today because it looks like I'm able to move on in the better than average challenge. My "WOODY" in at 5.5438 at the moment and well above my average, I just hope the vote scrubber gods are good to me at rollover.

Probably in for Purple - got something else I want to try, if it doesn't work, going for doors...either way, definitely in for something this week.

My entries are really sucking lately though - currently sitting at 5.1 and that's higher than it was all week. Haven't been this consistently low since I first started with DPC!

I have something in for Doors. My guess is a low 5 score (more probably in the 4s) for it so we need more than 5 so as to drop mine or give me a chance to pull it before rollover.

Ive re-edited mine 5 times and uploaded it 5 times so far and I mite be going for a 6th... just keep finding crap I dont like about it... :S

Looks like we have 5 this week so I might be out this time - just can't get anything to work the way I want it too and this streak of low 5s/high 4s crap is really beginning to hurt! Will keep working at it until times up but can't guarantee anything this round....

OK, so after fracking around for two and a half hours trying to get a door shot that had an artistic edge to it, they all turned out like a two year old took them and even that's being generous. I'm so frustrated with myself. I missed out on my first model because she was sick and her replacement because her uncle died and now all my shots are crap.

I guess I'll use one from the weekend for purple, I was out shooting a local event and there were lots of purple subjects. Not what I had in mind and most likely not DPC friendly but an entry none the less. Don't get me wrong, the shot is good for what I was asked to do and the customers were happy but just not what i had in mind for either challenge, and that sucks.

So I'm in for purple.

Good so that's definitely 5 then. I am out this week. Giving up, packing the camera away for a day or two. Everything's either grainy or blurry and getting just waaayyy to frustrated now! :-)

I've replaced my entry in Doors with an entry in Purple. I like it so that means somewhere in the 4s.

I'm still shooting so may replace it again.

Well I wonder if next weeks challenges will foster some interesting ideas, so far this week is the only one I had trouble with and that not for the lack of trying.
