The only thing more addicting than the update button is the fedex tracker when you're waiting to be the 435th owner on DPC of This!

What I saved on sales tax I used for priority shipping with a Saturday delivery. So.... It'll be here for Laconia Bike Week!!! Oh Yeah!!!!!!!!!

Well, I don't actually own the one in my profile, I just borrow it from a friend often enough that its a pain to add it everytime I want to enter a challenge with it.. :-P

So, you'll be 434th, at least!

Heh, Nikolai. Neophyte, Nikolai and a non-DPC friend are the people who convinced me to get mine. It's truly a magic lens.

And gwe, enjoy your super wide angle.

To give you both an idea of what's possible with these two lenses, these two shots were taken from the same place just a few minutes apart.

10mm (Sigma 10-20):

200 mm w/a 1.4 extender, so effectively 280mm (70-200VR 2.8):

That would probly mean I was the 300th. I bought that camera on Monday and became a paid member and added it to my profile on Tuesday :) It's tons better than my D100.

Actually, it's effectively 420 with the 1.4 extender and the 1.5 crop factor of the D200... :-)

Oh, right. And then you can about double that because that's only about 1/2 of the image. :)

And the wide-angle is then 15mm equivalent.

Now this is insightful! This is the photo that steve took in times square in the afternoon shade from across the street when he was nice enough to show me some cool spots to shoot in NYC. I was amazed at the fact that when he zoomed in on his camera's LCD screen I could see the individual threads in the sailor's embroidered patch. I've wanted this lens since then! Thanks Steve!

Oh It got here about three hours ago. I had to buy a new bag.....I'm off to shoot.
