I don't like the advanced editing rule but thats just my opinion, it would be great, if, when submitting to an advanced editing challenge, we could tick a box saying "this pic has been advanced edited" or "this pic meets basic editing guidelines" that way we could have a winner for those that have edited and those that haven't. |

im with you on the advanced editing, i dont like it and I argued against it (for the this site anyways) . But it really does come in handy when you can not go re-shoot an image to get the look you want.
But breaking it down to basic and advanced with in the same challenge like you suggest would be a nightmare.

Its already broken down pretty much 50/50 advanced vs basic editing. |

I think something on an image that stated it was done with basic editing within the advanced editing challenges may help with some images where people assume it was advanced and an effect 'faked'. The 'wow' reaction from some shots have gone somewhat and it seems people are very quick to claim something was done with advanced editing when it wasnt. That said, unless the admin checked to make sure basic editing was only done then anyone could tick the box and claim such.
