Hi all,
I don't know if this is where this general question belongs or not, but here it is.
I was visiting the site today from a friends home. The computer connected with a dial up modem :-( At any rate, the images all seemed to have much more jpg compression than I have ever seen before. Does DPC consider the connection rate and use it to add compression to make downloads quicker?
Just curious.
Thanks. |

Could he have been using one of the "speed up" routines- most automatically compress images to save loading time.

It's his Internet provider. Typically, providers still offering dialup compress image files to save bandwidth, thus making his connection somewhat faster. |

Thanks for the insight. I think you are right. There was some mention of speedup software.
Let me tell you... it sure messes up a image! |
