Personally, I like this but I could picture the comments you would get on it being to boring or dark, but I think it is a very nice shot. What lens did you use to get that?

i like it alot. but would have been better had you taken the pic in an aread w/out footprints. or just walked around the area you were going to shoot. |

This picture was taken well before the Parallel pic challenge so.. I could not enter it. However, if it met the time challenge I would have entered it.
Boring... Yes some might say that.As for my lens , um er it is the lens that comes with my wee little A80 7.8-23mm
As for no footprints I agree! Had this photo been taken with the same light and fresh snow ... but alas we do what we can with what is given to us.
Thanks for the comments!!!
keep em comming.

If you made a vertical crop in which you could see where the footprints came from or is leading to it would also make for an interesting composition. |

I think it's an awesome picture, but it would have done poorly in the parallel challenge, as none of those trees are paralell to each other.

I think the shot is excellent how it is. I like the wideness of the ctop and I actually think it is better with the footprints otherwise it would have no subject to focus on. Great capture. |

I thought I had a really nice parallel lines photo. I actually got butterflies in my stomach, because I was so proud. I did notice the background wasn't perfect after submitting, but I am only getting like 4.7. Maybe I don't have the eye for this.

4.7 doesn't mean it's a bad photo. Maybe there are just a lot more that scored higher then yours.
Hey you like your shot right? That's what's important. YOU haven't been at DPC long enough to feel bad or give up!!
:) Keep shooting, reading, looking, voting, and commenting. |

Despite the techinical issues with this photo that are are aready mentioned. I feel that it makes a nice abtract shot. Those foot prints make me feel that I want to know where they lead too. Perhaps use a title that can aspire the photo. A really enjoy this shot. Croped nicely for my taste. All Winter, I have been trying to capure trees and snow. Ha-you found what I was looking for in capureing a winter shot. Perhaps next year. However, you have great long shawdows and the trees standing perfect from one another. Again, it's a wonderful shot. Perhaps next year or snow, run back and shoot this place again before the snow is all stepped on. You have the settings and time in your file. That might help too. |
