I have a few previous 30 day side challenges in my portfolio (holiday, pets, flowers, where I live); it's just easier for other participants to find the images and comment if they're all in one portfolio folder. Taking pictures just for fun and getting lots of comments is the BEST thing about side challenges :-) And to those who asked: yep, anyone can participate. I will start a new thread for the images on June 1.

Hope he makes it. I rescue hurt animals too. I nurtured a crow for 2 days on my back porch untill it finally flew away. Made me happy. I once stopped on a highway to save a pigeon that was limping away. I covered it with my coat and picked it up and brought it to a park. Don't know if it survived but at least I tried.

Reminder bump: side challenge starts Sunday, June 1 and lasts for one week. Image posting thread will be started Sunday by moi.

Rules (such as they are):

- your subject each day should be a Wild Thing. You get to define what that means.
- the challenge goal is for participants to post one image a day. More or less will be accepted, because I have absolutely no control over who posts what and when ;-)
- please try to give as many comments as you receive. Again, there is no enforcement. It would just be nice.
- edit any way your little hearts desire. Documenting your capture details and editing steps definitely appreciated.
- have fun with this.

I think that's it. Looking forward to seeing your pictures!

I'm SO VERY bummed. We have a little bear wandering the highways of NJ (sighted right by our house), unfortunately I have not seen any sight of him. This would have been FANTASTIC for this side challenge.
Boo hiss, he has apparently moved on to other pastures.

That's not very cooperative of him.

Apparently we had a fox in my garage yesterday. My next-door neighbor left us a message on our answering machine when she saw it wander in. I didn't find out till many hours later so I totally missed the opportunity to point a camera at it. Oh, well.

Looking at the images in the other thread I'm getting the feeling I misunderstood the challenge. I thought we could shoot anything that's in the wild, not wild animals. Or is it just per chance that the first few pics were of animals/insects? Puzzled now.

I'll have to shoot 2 tomorrow b/c today was a very wet day here. Hopw the weather turns for the better.
