Anyone else ever notice this.....

.....that when you open up the box of a brand new 5D, there is a miniature ticker-tape parade with music, balloons and a fireworks display?

Hmmm, might just be me!

Yup, I'm the proud mama of a lovely 5D. Yesterday I went to Calumet and bought the 40D. After 100 hundred test shots I got Error 99. At that point, I knew it was a sign that I should have gone with my heart, bitten the bullet and just bought the 5D to begin with. SO now I enter the mystical world of Full Frame. It's pretty awesome so far. Now I need to get a couple more lenses....geesh.

Here's a question for the 5D owners...anyone use the Tamron 28-75 with it? On my Rebel, it was great. I wonder whether it retains it's greatness on this monster.

Okee dokey, time to go play!

Congratulations on your new baby. You won't regret it. I own 2 of them and couldn't imagine giving either of them up.

As for the lens...I am not familiar with that specific lens so maybe somebody else could advise you on it.

Oh, yeh. Almost three years later, I'm still finding ticker tape in the couch cushions! ;-)

After only a couple shots I'm completely hooked. The lack of noise at high iso is obscene! I'm sooo excited. Thanks for the congrats, everyone.
