Why? I find this extremely annoying. If you can't remember what the first post was then simply scroll up and re-read. It's a waste of time and space.

When a forum thread gets really long and you don't quote your original post, things get pretty confusing when you read down the thread... you see comments and say 'what the heck is he talkin about?' (or SHE) :)

It also comes in handy if the person posts a five paragraph monologue, and you only want to comment on the second sentence of the third paragraph. You can cut everything else.

All agreed. I also know Drew and Langdon are already busy doing some really great stuff for this site. If you ever got bored, guys, someone suggested earlier (and I think it's a great idea) to list postings in descending order. That way, you don't have to scroll all the way to the bottom of a long list just to catch up on the last few posts...
